RESTAURANT ETIQUITTE’S FOR THE WAITERS.

1. Never run in a Restaurant.

2. Always maintain a smiling face.

3. Never point a finger to show direction.

4. Don’t touch guest’s personal belonging without their consent.

5. While serving or talking to guest close contact should be avoided.

6. Give preferences to young and ladies first while taking order.

7. Don’t fuss with hair and neck or pick at skin blemishes (A small mark or flaw that spoils the appearance of something) in the Restaurant.

8. Never chew something or munch in the Restaurant.

9. No- Smoking in the Restaurant please.

10. Never count tips in the Restaurant.

11. Don’t touch the food with hands.

12. Don’t whistle or murmur in the Restaurant.

13. Don’t shout in the Restaurant.

14. Don’t make unnecessary gestures with hands while taking to the guests.

15. Stand erect. Don’t lean on the walls, counters or the side station.

16. Don’t enter the guest area when not in uniform

17. Don’t fiddle with keys, pens and lighters in the Restaurants.

18. Don’t speak about poorly about the others to the guests; even if it is a competitor.

19. Don’t get familiar with the guests.

20. Don’t huddle in groups.

21. Never show impatience.

22. Don’t drag your feet while walking.

23. Always give the guest the right of way.

24. Don’t yawn.

25. Don’t use slang.

26. Don’t bang the equipment.

27. Don’t hold the lengthy conversations in the restaurant.

28. Don’t make the excuses if the guest is unhappy about anything. Always apologize.

29. Always be well groomed.

30. Avoid using any facility meant for the guests.

31. Don’t indulge in unauthorized eating and drinking.

32. Don’t argue with the guest.

33. Report lost and found immediately.
