In order to show demonstration of days to repair service I first listed a sample of number of Breakdowns that is reflected in column “B”. Number of breakdowns has been extended to a sample size of 311 (B15-325). Next, I created random numbers for each breakdown by using Excel formula “RAND()” and then froze those values by completing “Paste Special”. Then after computing derivative I used formula=6*SQRT(C15) in E Column to interpret time between breakdowns. The next step to commute days to repair is to create second set of random numbers in “F” column, then using “Paste Special” to freeze these values. The final step to compute days to repair is generated by using =VLOOKUP(F15,Lookup,2) . Excel will be able to interpret the days to repair by referencing look up chart created in A4;C10). In order to commute interval between breakdowns, first you must commute random numbers using Excel command RAND() to generate random numbers for each of the days. The random numbers are then frozen using “Paste Special” command under columns I,J,K, L. Once these random numbers are generated, you can calculate time between breakdowns by using formula =IF($G15>=1,6*I15+2,"") to interpret values in Z1 represented in cell M15. This provides lost revenue for each day. This time between breakdown is calculated for all z values the formula is duplicated for columns Z2, Z3, and Z4 using similar formula as referenced below:

Z2 formula: =IF($G15>=2,6*I15+2,"")

Z3 formula: =IF($G15>=3,6*I15+2,"")

Z4 formula: =IF($G15>=4,6*I15+2,"")

This information is then summed in Cell Q15 by using the following Excel formula: =SUM(M15;P15). Excel will then calculate all sums for z values and this provides us with total Lost Z. The final step is interpret revenue lost by then using all values in Q15*100 for each of the 311 samples.

Putting it All Together

All the data provides us with the summary that the average time between breakdowns...
