Identify and explain at least three ethical considerations.

One ethical consideration is that a can take on a position regardless of what type of disability because a job cannot discriminate. Secondly, even with the disability of the candidate, if they have the requirements and ability to perform the duties, it should not hinder the reason for not considering the candidate. Finally it will fall down to the manager making the equal opportunity decision. If the manager knows the candidate have the fulfilling opportunity, and think about the disability will not be unfair. It is very imperative, that managers be fair when determining recruitment for employees. Candidates should be selected based on merits, for this is required under law regulations.

Identify and explain at least three legal considerations.

One legal consideration is the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), which states employer cannot deny someone suitable employment due to a disability. In the hiring place, the employers want to make sure that the person being hired can perform the duties. One important thing under the ADA is not to ask the person about his or her disability. Secondly, I would look into the EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity), which requires an employer to extend preferential treatment to any person or group because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or handicapping condition. EEO merely demands that all persons receive the same opportunities for hiring, training, promotion, etc. When those opportunities have not been available to all groups in the past because of discrimination, affirmative employment is required to overcome the effect of such bias. It is a great that these Acts were past because it helps a lot of people who have the ability to carry out the duties for different job titles.
