I have learned that many children of today are not ready for adulthood. The transition from childhood to an adult can be a major change. I think this change can affect parents and young adults. Many young adults feel that rules are no longer apply once turning eighteen. Many young adults feel they no longer need a curfew if they are living with their parents. I found this to be false many parents still have curfew times regardless of the age of their children. Young adults also feel that they no longer need to do house chores once they turn eighteen. Some feel that the chores should be done when they are ready to do the chores. I think most parents want the chores done on a weekly or daily routine.

I think once the children move away from home. They need to understand that a job is needed in order to maintain the bills. I think before leaving home children need to think about the cost of rent. I find that most children leave home without thinking about this. I think young adults need to understand. Becoming an adult means responsible and dependable. Setting plans and goals can help young adults plan for the future. Knowing how to save money and balance a checkbook, are all part of goal setting. Some young people are unaware of how to save money. By saving money this really makes a person dependable. By balancing your checkbook can reduce stress and protect your credit. By learning how to protect your credit is valuable. I think young people need to take credit classes before leaving high school. I also think high school students need to having savings and checking accounts before leaving home. These are things that are needed when becoming an adult.

Follow rules once moving away from home. Rules still apply even when leaving home or going away to college. By leaving in the dorms some students think they have no curfew. Wrong! Dorms have curfew times and rules if the rules are broken this can be painful to students and parents. I think parents...
