Club IT, Part One

“Find a job you love and never work a day in your life”, (Unknown). One of the greatest and most rewarding ways to earn an income is by doing something you enjoy. Lisa Tejada and Ruben Keys had a vision all throughout their lives to own and manage a night club. During college they both supported themselves by playing music at different venues; they graduated in 2000 with degrees in business administration. They learned a lot about how a nightclub operates from playing music, additionally from their studies in college they learned business principles. Nightclubs seem like such a fun and exciting business to own, however nightclubs still face the struggles and hardships that every business faces.

Club IT‘s mission statement is: "We, Ruben and Lisa, offer you live music, DJ's, dance space and refreshments that suit your lifestyle. You are our friends, and we seek to build a community that meets regularly at Club IT" (Rainer & Turban, 2008). The clientele of Club IT primary consists of local young and old people of all ages and vacationers as well. Club IT’s entertainment organization focuses on attracting many different people of all ages together, whether it be singles, couples or just a group of friends. Customers like these are looking for an exciting nightclub to enjoy music from a DJ, music from live bands, eat and drink, or just looking to have a great time.

Ruben and Lisa have realized that the resources spent on remodeling were definitely worth the expense, their information management is lacking significantly. Ruben and Lisa need a full analysis of their information technology to have a more competitive advantage over similar businesses.
