The goal of the HR system of Performance Management is to enhance employee actions in an attempt to achieve results that conform to the company’s goals and visions. Upon studying Performance Management, I drew the conclusion that an effective manager will plan and implement an effective, efficient and comprehensive performance management system. To this end, successful management is tied to an individual’s ability create a system in which team members have clear reasonable goals, a sense that they are related to company objectives, have sufficient resources and training, and receive timely useful feedback and constructive criticism. Motivation ranks as one of the most commonly used terms in business. Seeking to understand the nature of motivation, increase levels of motivation, and subsequently improve levels of performance has been a constant goal in management and organizational literature (Baack, 2012).

Some of the important factors that can boost the motivation and performance level of individuals are monetary and non-monetary incentives, recognition, increased authority, responsibility as well as flexibility at the workplace, increased decision making authority, increased opportunities for participation as well as effective two way communication, increased flexibility and support from the senior and top management.
