Life and River

Life is like a river, it keeps flowing, meeting new people unaware of the fact whether ever they would meet again or not. And what remains with us are the memories of all those wonderful moments spent with them. Memories ... Plain old sweet memories ... While reminiscing it appears that it was just yesterday that you were together and had enjoyed so much and then it dawns upon you that this particular incident belongs to a distant past. And you wish that if given a chance you could relive those moments once again with all the one who touched your heart in a special manner or perhaps the whole of your being, and the sad truth is that it is not possible for you to fulfil your wish. Before that you had never realised that you would crave for those moments once they were over. At that time u couldn’t even conjecture an image of the two of you holding hands and watchin a beautiful sunset on a secluded beach.. Would laugh out like a madman even at such a thought. And all those things who made you laugh so hard that your stomach ached but you wanted to continue laughing. You want to laugh again that way with that very same person but then lost time can’t be re-acquired. A few things are after all unattainable.

You have a different life now and things are not the same anymore. You are undergoing a phase in life where you realise that perhaps if you had expressed your feelings at that time you would be once again laughing out loud with that person. But even today you are too proud to admit the fact if you could go back you would have chosen the unchosen path.

It has been aptly said that time is the best healer. It heals all wounds. But how do you explain that what you are feeling is not a wound. Its a phenomenon that even you can’t explicate!! Its one of those best pages of your life and you don’t want ever to conclude. You wish it would persisit as long as you are alive.

But here your destiny has a completely different plan for you. After all it has been aptly stated...
