It’s Not Just One Human Race
People don’t just become racist out of nowhere; they’re raised in a household that condones racism. Racism is defined to be the belief that races have distinctive cultural characteristics determined by hereditary factors and that this endows some races with an intrinsic superiority over others. ("racism." Collins English Dictionary - Complete & Unabridged 10th Edition. HarperCollins Publishers. 31 Jan. 2012.) Before the 1960’s, when there were severe racism and prejudice towards blacks, what Martin Luther King Jr. was fighting was State sponsored racism. There were actual Laws that supported segregation. Each state has a right to pass its own laws. It wasn't until federally funded programs that states were beneficiaries did King made the Feds step in & force de-segregation of the south. He made the world see how government could support racism by its indifference. Racism is still here & we are constantly challenged by it. Almost everyone pretend to be morally outraged when they witness racism then they get on with their lives and pat themselves on the back because it makes them feel so good to be so “accepting” but I digress. The point is that racism is everywhere and its presence is most powerful on the internet. I have seen posts about telling some Asians to watch where they’re walking. Oh, is it because some Asians have small eyes? Do you not think they can see properly through them? How about you respect everyone living on this planet instead of making some insensitive comment about their cultures?
When you make racial comments, you turn many, if not all, ethnicities largely against you.
