Strategy

We would like to propose a week long fundraising event in the public areas of the Hogeschool Zuyd in Maastricht. During lunch breaks, in between classes and in some cases after classes we will have multiple booths and activities to raise money and awareness for our cause. Our cause is to raise money to support a school in Africa by involving students, teachers and guests into the activities for a small donation. The best way to set up these activities is to have students from the schools volunteer to participate in working the booths and doing the activities. These students can then be exempted from any classes during that week of fundraising if that week does not have any important deadlines or exams scheduled. Below you will find a timetable displaying all the activities and booths per day with the times of the activities.

All of the booths and activities can take place in the canteen of Hogeschool Zuyd, except for the Talent Show and the Gala Night. The Talent Show will be hosted in the Auditorium room Br. 121 at Hogeschool Zuyd and the Gala Night will be a nice ending to the week with a party at the MECC with also ticket sales for Maastricht University students. Snacks Stand

We want to offer snacks during the Monday and the Thursday throughout the day in the canteen. These snacks can be complimentary to the cafeteria Hogeschool Zuyd already has. We will host booths of different local establishments where they can get a chance to sell their snacks to our students. Within a few blocks of Hogeschool Zuyd there is a Kebab restaurant, a Chinese takeaway restaurant, a Turkish supermarket and a traditional Dutch snack bar selling fries and snacks. Also, we will have some snacks in the form of canned drinks, chips and chocolates that we will sell in classes by a student dressed as a waiter. | | | | |
