Learning Principles

What’s the best way for you to learn? We, as humans, begin learning when we are born. We learn how to walk, talk, to recognize our parents and our surroundings. We learn coordination and mobility. We learn speech, and how to communicate our thoughts. From the beginning of our lives until the end, learning is an on-going process for us. Life situations change, but the principles and general laws of learning will always remain the same. Training plans are imperative in any successful endeavor. Primary components in figuring lasting money-making ability of any business are the caliber of associates and their advancement by way of instruction and development. All businesses, regardless of size, are dependent upon good employees. Good employees are not something that can be bought at the store, or ordered online. However, you can “grow” them. When someone is hired for a job they don’t come through the door and automatically know how to do their job. They must be trained, but before they can be trained, plans have to be made to determine the type of training needed, the method of training, and the results to be achieved. These plans also need to have a common theme or direction, so that all new employees may build upon the same foundation. However daft it might sound, with care and nurturing, an average employee can become an outstanding asset to the company. Next we will discuss the three general laws of learning. These would be the law of readiness, the law of exercise, and the law of effect. The law of readiness is a simple concept. Readiness hints at a measure of application and anticipation.
