How Do Organizations Motivate and Engage Employees or Members

Abstract

In the world today it is crucial for organizations to focus on more than just the profits margins and losses. The key ingredient in the success of a business relies heavily on the employees who provide the hands on tools and techniques needed to ensure company growth. Employee engagement (http://humanresources.about.com/od/Employee-Engagement/Employee-Engagement.htm) describes [the] work environment in which employees are motivated, excited, thoroughly involved and engrossed in their work and [contributions to the organization]. Listed below are examples, and coaching techniques that organizations can use to motivate and engage [their] employees or member.

To understand what it takes for organizations to motivate and engage its employee we must first define what these references mean. In business, (DuBrin, 2013) engagement is referred to as the current buzzword for the commitment that workers make to their employers. Motivation (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/motivation) is the act or condition of being influenced. This stimulating drive gives meaning of why [individuals] act in a certain way. Organizations (http://humanresources.about.com/od/Employee-Engagement/Employee-Engagement.htm) should create a work environment that encourages [their] employees to become engaged in the goals of the organizations. Organizations must take a stand and maintain that employee engagement become a business strategy that focuses on finding [intriguing] employees (http://humanresources.about.com/od/Employee-Engagement/qt/Employee-Engagement.htm) and then, keeping those employees captivated throughout [their] whole employment relationship.

Several different suggestions (DuBrin pp. 323-324) are listed below on how organizations can motivate and engage their employees.
