I. INTRODUCTION
In this project, we have built a digital clock with 12 hour count time. The clock runs from 12:00 to 11:59 and then back to 12:00. Our display has six digits, two digits for seconds, two digits for minutes and two for hour. This clock functions through the use of a 6 Volts Battery.
Besides this project can fully function, through which it can provide the exact time of the day including the Ante Meridian (AM) and the Post Meridian (PM).
Aside from that, this project only uses ICs and didn’t involve any programming.
II . PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We were able to conceptualize a project that can display exact and accurate time of the day which also includes the Ante Meridian (AM) and the Post Meridian (PM). Our goal is to design and build a fully functioning Digital Clock. We will be using 6 segment decoder, 5 of it will be used for common cathode (CC) and 1 for Common Anode (CA).
Furthermore, The clock is being operated by a 6 Volts Battery. The project works from the power source which is the Battery to the counter ( Dual 4bit Decade and Binary Counter) passing to the decoder which decodes the signal and then directly go to the display.
Other than this, a few materials have been used to ensure proper functioning of the clock. Below is the list of materials to be used in order to make this project possible:
