Talofa lava! My name is Tanya Lesa-Atonio and I am currently resided in PagoPago, American Samoa with my husband and my 2 year old daughter. We love to spend time together watching movies, going for long walks or even spending a day at the beach. My favorite hobbies in which I tend to pull my husband into is decorating. I have decorated chapels and stadiums for weddings, funerals, election campaigns and so much more. We only have one daughter and yet, it feels as if we have five.

I am a data specialist at the American Samoa Community College. I deal with student success data, student satisfaction surveys and others for the college improvements. I have been in this field for 3 years and I enjoy working here. I was an accountant at the Catholic Cathedral for 5 years and enjoyed it; however, I had to look for a challenging job to keep me on my feet.

I completed my Associates degree at the American Samoa Community and now working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. My goal is to complete this degree with flying colors and hope to take it to the next step.

This is my sixth class for my online degree and so far- it has been a great experience. However, it has also been challenging because for the past three weeks; I have been on the run for my parents as well as my family. My family has been really sick in and out. It was just two weeks ago that I had to fly to Hawaii to assist my parents with their medical appointments and had no access to a computer or internet. I missed most of the days that I needed to sign in and reply to classmate discussions. For this week, I hope from the past chaos; I am hoping this week or the next five days will be better. Looking forward for a bumpy ride.
