Australian Packaging Covenant

Action Plan

Template

Introduction

As a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant (‘APC’, ‘The Covenant’) you have committed to developing an action plan that details the activities your organisation proposes to contribute to the Covenant’s objectives and goals: Design, Recycling and Product Stewardship. This action plan is required within three months of becoming a signatory and must be displayed on the organisation’s website. It will also be made publicly available via the Covenant website. This template is intended to help signatories develop action plans that meet the minimum requirements of the Covenant. As such it is not prescriptive and only provides guidance regarding the key items that should be included in your action plan. Developing and implementing a sound and achievable action plan involves several key stages outlined in the diagram below. As stated, this document is focused on the basic requirements of the development stage only; however it is critical that the other stages are considered in the development of your organisation’s plan.
