Economic Stimulation Essay

In this essay we will review the economic stimulation issues regarding Castor Health Plans. The Castor Corporation was founded in 1999 in Pantome states as a regional HMO plan (The Financing of Health Care, 2012). HMO essentially means Health Maintenance Organization which is a service that offers nationwide health care insurance thru a system of physicians and hospitals (Health Care.gov, 2012). The HMO systems uses capitation to pay the providers. The capitation system is a model in which the physicians and hospitals are paid a specific amount based on an estimated number of patients per month (Med, 2001). The use of capitation means the providers are paid a specific amount regardless of the amount of service provided to patients. Although Castor has many enrollees the business still strives to increase the amount of enrollees they have while increasing revenues. As a representative for the Castor Corporation it will be my responsibility to reduce the business risk factors and increase profit for the company. The important aspects of being a leader with Castor is having responsibilities which includes interactions with new clients, price planning, setting insurance premiums, and finding health plans that benefit Castro’s clients.

Having the job of making financial and economical decisions for a company such as Castor is not an easy task. There are many decisions that must be made in regard to the company’s growth and revenues. Castor has two different companies to offer health care coverage plans to these companies are the E-Editor and Constructit. Castor has worked hard on the offering of service plans which will offer benefits to the consumer while still showing a rise in the company’s revenues. Each of the plans Castor has to offer has advantages and disadvantages that include provisions for adding and removing services for patients that have pre-existing conditions.
