Welcome to The University of Phoenix, Axia online College studies. Let us help you get started towards your academic degree. Here are a few things you need to know before getting started. Each period consist of two classes for a total of nine weeks. These two classes toggle every other week, each class will be asking discussion questions that will require a response. Each class has scheduled assignments that are due every week. Each Student must post attendance in the chat room two times a week and have a substantial post two times on four out of seven class days; classes run from Monday thru Sunday, by responding to another student’s answer these counts towards participation.
Each student has access to all educational resources offered through the University Library; the resources are downloadable to the computer or a portable device like the IPod or Iphone. Take the time to find your way around and make use of the tutorials provided. The library will be one of the biggest assists the college has to offer. The library tutorials are located with the Center for Writing Excellence, The Center for Mathematics Excellence and Student Labs. These labs will help with mathematics’, writing papers and can help with grammar errors missed during the proofreading. The University Library offers extensive databases for article research, indexes and offers a variety of encyclopedias and Dictionaries.
Each student must read The Student Code of Academic Integrity and remember to uphold the academic Honesty. This means that each student must turn in his or her own work, do not substitute someone’s hard work as your own. This is located in the Center for Writing Excellence under “Important Messages.” Honesty, Integrity and Plagiarism play a big part in the schools learning, there will be questions asked during your classes, so study up on these.
