Our Mission

Command, Control and Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C3ISR), Government Services is just a few words to sum up what L-3 Communications is. L-3 Communications is a 14 billion dollar company that primary mission is to provide various types of communications to our nation’s military and to special elite organizations such as the British secret service and the FBI and NSA. Communications services include Voice over IP (VoIP) phones, live streaming video, video telecommunications and Internet capabilities and Satellite communications. The STRATIS contract which is what I am on and the division I work for is ISD (Intelligence Solutions Division). We provide satellite and broad base of Specialized Products to communications and live video capabilities to our nation’s elite Special Operations Command to include Navy Seal Teams, Delta and Special Forces. L-3 is also a major provider of homeland defense products and services for a variety of emerging markets.

How we get it done

L-3 communications is very operational minded, we want to get the job done and get it done right the first time. Right in the beginning of the introduction to the code of ethics it states “Our code of conduct is designed to assist us in meeting our obligations” (Communications, 2010) we pride ourselves on customer service; I think we are “end and duty driven”. Our goal is to proved quality service and a quality product in a timely manner. My organization is also lenient, since we deal with a lot of international organizations we leave room for waiver of the code; however waiver of any part of our code of ethics would have to be approved from our Corporate Ethics Officer.
