The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) is a nonprofit organization that is well known for its extensive knowledge data base of new technologies and also for its vast information on educational presentations, and certification preparation and administration. This organization is a very well known organization within the Information Technology field and also within the United States Military Information Systems Specialist’s.

Not only is this organization known for its extensive knowledge of information systems but also for its ability to provide educational feedback and assistance in this field. They cover all kinds of certification testing and preparation from A+ certification which tests the competency of a Computer Technician to PDI+ which is an entry level Printing and Document Imaging specialist.

The Computing Technology Industry Association is the leader in the certification process in the IT field and has been for many years. The greatest part of this organizations ability is its ability to change as new and improved technologies grow and grow. Among other certifications they also offer Network + (Network Basics), Security + (Network Security), and also the all too familiar Linux+ certification.

As the IT world continues to expand so do their certification preparation and examination capabilities. If one wants to gain any one of these certifications all you have to do is practice their pre-tests and when you feel you’re ready you can pay for the exam and take it. Upon passing the exam one is awarded a certification and sometimes you get a card with your own personal identification number that certifies that you are in fact a certified professional in that area.
