Executive Summary

The report aims to understand the organizational structure or hierarchy of the company. The company we chose was Infosys. It is the 3rd largest IT Company of India with presence across the country. Such large organization is bound to have some problem at some level despite the efforts towards continuous improvement. Infosys has gradually moved from Infosys 1.0 to Infosys 2.0 and now it’s revamping its organizational structure in accordance with Infosys 3.0 strategy. The focus in the Infosys 3.0 is on NEMs (New Engagement Models) to have non-linear growth, which is not interlinked with the increase in the head count. Both primary and secondary sources have been used for the data collection. Primary sources include conversations with the senior managers and employees at Infosys. Secondary sources include interview by the company leaders as published in the media or the interview videos on the You-tube, company website, newspaper articles and annual report. The areas of improvements include the red tape within the PRD unit and a compensation policy which is still focused upon the ADM project models. We recommend more freedom in organization culture and establishing an exclusive department for handling the HR related issues for the PRD and Products and Platform group.
