My advice to you Heidi is to treat Nick like a dog! Now now wait a minute hear me out, I know it sounds harsh but we tend to treat our pets better than our spouses anyways. So I have gathered some helpful tips on how to successfully train Nick.

1. Show excitement every time you see him

2. Be patient, remember even the smartest dog can’t learn a new trick over night.

3. Don’t nag him to much it will get you nowhere! Positive reinforcement is a much better way, a simple good boy and pat on the butt does the trick every time.

4. When Nick makes a mess of things, and he will from time to time (even the best dogs have bad days) don’t rub his nose in it that’s just mean.

5. Try not to keep Nick caged up happy dogs need time to play. Just keep him on a long leash.

6. Keep Nick well fed a full doggie is a happy doggie. So surprise him from time to time with his favorite home cooked meal.

7. Keep Nick interested at all times. Dogs love to play. You want his ears perked and tail wagging at all times.

Lastly I have to bring this up for the family sake; they would be very disappointed if I didn’t advice you to breed Nick! We’re all looking forward to your litter of puppies.

With these helpful tips you should have Nick trained in no time. Don’t give up on him when it gets tough he is just a puppy but in no time he will be your life long companion.

With all this said Nick please don’t feel like I am leaving you out, although my advice has been aimed toward Heidi I know for a fact you will need to use these tips on her as well. We all know she needs it to. Congratulations you two here’s to many years of wonderful memories made together!
