Chapter I: Introduction

Computers nowadays are part of our daily lives, it is evident that majority of the country’s institution still do not impliment computer systems especially in private and public schools. In Claro M. Recto Information and Communication Technology High School information are being inputted manually yet it is called an ICT school, it still lacks with the use of modern technology that other school has. There should be progress, innovation and there should be change. Schools that manually make such systems don’t have an accurate record of the teachers that aren’t punctual in school.

Schools that do not have a system that can record the teacher’s information accurately mainly in logging in and out of the school are prone to having teachers that come to school late or goes home from school before the time they should go. Teachers can easily alter the information just by tampering or getting a new copy of the paper. The school that uses this kind of system cannot determine the teacher who indeed needs to be punctual. It is also time consuming entering the information of the teacher by means of writing on a log-book.

Biometric swipe card automatically records the attendance of the teachers in a particular school by using their identification card or data card.

Schools and universities began to use biometric swipe for the attendance, registration and library book borrowing. Swipe card are most applicable not like fingerprints. It is not essential to the applications because failure of recognizing the fingerprints and some problems in identifying their blueprints might encounter. Swipe card might not be unique yet it is the easiest way to use especially for the teachers who are in a hurry or doesn’t have enough time.
