In 1992, Megan Duckett solely founded Sew What? Inc., a business that provides custom theatrical draperies and fabrics for stages, concerts and fashion shows. The business was confined to local presence only until she lost a big contract just due to lack of an Internet website that could have backed her with credibility. However, after understanding the importance of using Information technology, there was no looking back since then.

She designed her first website using Microsoft Publisher software. She rebuilt it later, with a 10-week course in Dreamweaver. She saw her business gaining client momentum and soon had customers from all over the world. In 2005, they registered a 45% increase in revenue from the previous year and by 2006 they were projecting a target of 65% increase in sales from previous year.

To keep pace with managing the business and provide quality service, she set up a back-office infrastructure running Intuit's Quick-Books Enterprise Solutions Manufacturing and Wholesale Edition Software with Microsoft Windows Server operating system hosted on Dell servers. These Dell servers have huge disk storage that is an important requirement for her business considering that they not only need to store Customer and financial information, but also lot of critical image and document files as part of custom requirements from customers. Another important area - Customer support, was also set up with an old Dell server dedicated for few smaller applications. Employees were provided with Dell Desktop PC's.
