Improving Organization Retention Paper

Improving organization retention acquires evaluation, analyzing, reorganization, and understanding a company’s need from improvement. This document will focus on a scenario in which organization and retention matters are needed to get the company back to customer standards. This document will identify issues and make recommendations on how to improve retention.

Scenario:

Organization issues

JC Casino is a one of the state’s renowned attractions. The casino offers many amenities that attract customers from around the country. Its employee services have been known as one of the best offering competitive wages, job training, and improvement. Recently the casino has been developing trouble with employees and maintaining his or her good quality name. The HR department has sought the help of an industrial/organizational psychologist to find a method that would improve employee retention and organization.

The issues that JC casino is having are with dealers leaving the casino to work in other casinos in the area. During exit interviews, dealers have expressed the pitt boss who is the owner’s step son, is overbearing, incompetent, toxic, and evil. The actions of the pitt boss has caused the employees to feel uncomfortable and underappreciated for the work that have been putting in. The HR director is afraid to approach the owner about the complaints and issues with the dealers. He knows that there is a conflict of interest with the dealer’s boss as the step son of the owner. He fears that issues that have been going on could cause him to lose his job due to the ongoing situation and problems at the casino.

The housekeeping department is also having employee issues. The staff has been low with an above normal rate of absenteeism and high turnover of rooms.
