Professional Clippers is the chosen business for analysis. This is a Barbershop situated downstairs a local plaza, Cacique Street Princes Town across the road from pennywise. It was founded in 2000 by Damian Philip, sole owner of the shop.

After an interview with Mr. Philip, it was related that in his school days he always had a great fascination with the craft of hair styling. After a debate within himself, he made the decision that during that holiday season he would invest all his money from his temporary job and attain his first set of hair equipment for trimming.

The following quote came from the entrepreneur himself:

“The problem, was developing my skill, there was no internet so Google wasn’t an option, no YouTube tutorials on trimming/hair styling, so I had to visit barbershops shops within the area and get acquainted with the barbers, so I would get firsthand experience. After I felt confident enough I asked my close friends and family member to become my first set of victims, in other words sacrifice their hair looking good for my benefit. ”

Many confrontations and run-arounds were endured. Mr. Philip’s description of the period was one of a long trivial process. At times he experienced frustration and doubts, while on the other hand, it was a very productive period, that helped develop his skills, which then converted into a passion and at present is his career. Mr. Philip’s first job was the key player in molding and motivating him in the risky decision of opening his own barbershop which today as previously stated, is known has Professional Clippers.

Opening a Barbershop at that point in time was highly risky, in terms of being new to the market and also taking on the burdens of renting a place and acquiring a large enough space to occupy enough tenants to cover the rent. To give a brief description Damian explained...
