Humanistic approach to Management

The humanistic approach to management is better to manage people based on their Psychological makeup and needs. Humanistic aspect of Management understands the psychological makeup of individuals in order to motivate them to be more productive with the understanding that there is a fine line we should not cross as managers.

I believe it’s appropriate when you care about your employees, but not be so nice that you want every employee to like you. When it’s time to do work everyone should work as a team and do the work that is needed to be done. It’s good when the manager takes time to know their employees so that when they make a mistake they know how to talk to them and tell them what to do next time so that it won’t happen again. Also when their employees are doing an excellent job, it feels good when the manager recognizes them for the hard work they are putting in work.

I don’t think it’s appropriate when managers are mean to their employees and don’t try to understand how their employees work. It’s also not appropriate when the manager instead of correcting what the employee is doing wrong they instead get angry and scream at them for doing the job incorrectly. Some managers don’t realize that when they treat their employees like this, their employees will feel sad and get depressed. Sometimes some can’t even take it because everyone is different and some employees maybe more sensitive than others, or even the other way other they can be meaner and scream at the manager too. Lastly also hanging out with coworkers frequently is not appropriate because when it comes to work they won’t take to serious. Workers won’t take it too serious because since they are hanging out too much they think it will be okay at work to hangout.
