If no nutritional difference in Organic food, Why organic over inorganic foods?

There is a battle whether or not eating organic foods have some more nutritional value than non-organic foods. Based on my research, I found something really shocking. According to my research, there is no significant difference in nutritional value between organic and non-organic foods (Bravata 1-23). However, there are other reasons why organic foods are healthier than inorganic foods.

Why is it that people choose organic over inorganic? Is it because of a difference in nutritional content or maybe is it how the produce is handled and treated? While shopping for produce, what are some key factors in determining what one buys? Some people use price as a negotiating factor while others use preferred brands. Others may ignore those ideas and stick to choosing organic foods over non-organic foods. If you buy brand names it does not mean you buying good quality.

Non-organic products, like vegetables and fruit, are exposed to harmful pesticides and herbicides throughout the growing process. Based on my research, the uses of chemicals do not cause any nutritional loss. But what are pesticides and herbicides? Well, “pesticides are substances or a mixture of substances intended to prevent, destroy, and/or repel any pests from harming crops. These pesticides target pests like insects, fungi, weeds, animals, microbes and many other things”. “Herbicides are commonly known as weed killers. Herbicides can kill specific unwanted plants, especially weeds, while leaving the desired plant to grow freely”.

Although research (“Organic Food 'not Any Healthier”) has shown that there is no difference in nutrition with organic and non-organic vegetables, should one take careful consideration with the chemicals that inorganic foods are exposed to?
