PROGRAM GOALS

BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Students will demonstrate an understanding of business systems and how they function in an increasingly global environment.

• On the Major Field Test in Business, students will demonstrate an understanding of business systems and how they function. (Goal: 75% score above the 50th percentile in each of the sub-indicators of accounting, finance, economics, management, quantitative business analysis, marketing, legal and social environments, and international issues)

• During analysis of a sample of the BSA 407 Content Application Papers, students will demonstrate an understanding of business systems. (Goal: 80%)

Students will demonstrate problem-solving skills—both technical and situational.

• On the Major Field Test in Business, students will demonstrate an understanding of technical problem solving. (Goal: 75% score above the 75th percentile in the sub-indicator of quantitative business analysis)

• During analysis of a sample of the BSA 407 Research Projects, students will demonstrate effective problem-solving skills. (Goal: 80%)

Students will demonstrate critical thinking and effective communication skills—written and oral, appropriate to the business environment.

• During analysis of a sample of BSA 407 Research Project, students will demonstrate effective written communication and critical thinking skills. (Goal: 95%)

• On a biannual alumni survey, respondents will report significant improvement in written and oral communication skills. (Goal: 90%)
