Hidden, the tenth in the House of Night series has been a huge success. The author, P.C. Cast, is the mother of Kristin Cast, the coauthor of the series. The House of Night series is an international phenomenon, reaching #1 on U.S., German, and UK bestseller lists. This series has been going on since 2007, and it has become less interesting since the first book, however, I found this book suspenseful, and it did seem like an interesting read.

P.C. Cast is an award-winning fantasy and paranormal romance author, as well as an experienced speaker and teacher. Kristin Cast is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who teamed up with her mother to write this series. This novel alone has almost 12 million copies in print. Hidden was first published in October, 2012.

Hidden takes place in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Zoey Redbird, the main character in the book, goes to school at the Tulsa House of Night for vampyre fledglings. She is a fledgling High Priestess, which is unusual for fledglings. She also possesses affinities for all five elements: Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Spirit. At last, Zoey has what she wanted: the truth is out. Neferet's (the evil ex-High Priestess) evil has been exposed, and the High Council is no longer on her side -- but she's far from done wreaking havoc in the vampyre world. First, a mysterious fire ravages the stables. Then, Neferet makes a devastating move that will test them all. With the seeds of distrust sown and Darkness breeding chaos at the House of Night, everyone must band together -- but that's proving to be more difficult than ever before.
