Most people will tell you that their parents have made the most impact on their life, but not me. Yes, my parents have impacted my life so much, but in a different way. The impact from Caleb was career and life changing for me. Being a professional athlete was the only thing that I ever thought about. From the moment I met Caleb that all changed.
Caleb is a graphic designer; he would create things from websites to company logos. Caleb was always at my house showing my dad the ropes of graphic design. I would find myself watching over their shoulders, trying to see what they were doing and how. The things he would create were mind blowing, he would start with a white canvas, and all of a sudden he would have a complete website with all different types of effects, and that’s when I knew what I wanted to do. Once I saw Caleb’s portfolio, I knew that this was the career I would pursue. Seeing the movie posters and the different layouts that photography companies sold made me want to be the one to say “I made that and millions of people are seeing it.”
If you would have told me years ago, that I wasn’t going to be a professional baseball player, I would have laughed in your face. But since I met Caleb, the whole baseball team has flown out the window. I no longer think about going to play baseball. I attend class and think of different types of designs, then I go home and design and develop the different things I thought about throughout the day.
