Construct an analysis of public administration at the present moment as it relates to the duties of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of government.

The duties of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of government are correlated to public administration in many ways. In regard to the Executive branch of government, Barack Obama, as the President and his immediate supporting staff develop and implement policies for the nation. This branch also communicates to them through public administration to regulatory agencies. The Legislative branch develops the policies that the Executive branch uses which in essence safeguard citizen’s rights as it relates to public administration. Lastly, the judicial branch can affect and interfere with the policies and laws that relate to the Executive and Legislative branches of government.

Evaluate the three basic forms of city from the point of view of a departmental head.

In the city government, there is a mayor and city council creating and implementing city policies and procedures. The mayor is considered the Chief Executive of the city level and responsible for supervision of the government. The city council works in the city government with the businesses to put policy into action. The third department head would be the Commissioner. The commissioners are responsible for taxes, city ordinances, and other all-purpose functions of utilities, finance, and public safety.

President Obama, via executive order, signs 23 Gun Controls Laws. Expand discussion this week to include the origin and evolution of the power of presidential executive order.

Therefore class, what are your thoughts on whether the Supreme Court can or should review executive orders of any president?

One concept that we are familiar is the balance of power when it comes to the three branches. Each branch serves a role in checking the abuse or not of the other.
