Everyday becoming more of a acute and developmental health problem the AIDS epidemic is a serious problem facing and taking over the world. In some countries in an effort to combat the disease it has been little work and too late. Currently, there are a little over 30 million people infected with HIV. Eighty percent of deaths have taken place in Africa. The implementation of a successful program, a supportive policy environment is used for the prevention and the spread of AIDS by delivering care to those who are infected. In ensuring human rights are being respected and not discriminated against it is essential that the appropriate policy environments are available. The process of developing and implementing the AIDS policy is different for each country. This paper can provide a better understanding of what the stages involved and the steps taken to facilitate implementation and achieve the best possible outcome.
