Sitting in this uncomfortable seat waiting for this long class to end, knowing that it didn't even start yet. All students experience the agony of waiting for a class to end. The usual steps happen in the class. Take out your books, turn to this page. Look at the clock, only ten minutes passed. Get lectured about information that some don’t even care about. All students are involved with text books every day, all over the world and share some of the same thoughts as each other.

Beginning Algebra Eighth Edition provides reliable, but boring information. The book’s cover design has nothing to do with Algebra. The book has easy to follow chapters that are very organized. The professor uses the book as well and takes problems straight from the textbook. The student can go back and check the notes if needed with the book. After speaking to the professor who teaches using this book, I have retained the information on why she chose this book for the course. I also spoke to the provost about the cost of the books. Getting through this course without a professor is very possible because the book provides that much detail.

The information in the textbook makes me cry a little while sitting in class. It’s so boring! I’m sure most students cry in class a little. Some of the information that gets taught will never be used again, so why must we learn it in the first place? In spite of my frustration the book has very reliable information that contains definitions of certain words and phrases. The book also gives step by step examples on how to solve the problem. This helps students a lot, especially if they are struggling. Since the book provides detailed steps a student could pass this course without the use of a professor using just the book.
