Pop culture is defined as commercial products or activities suited to aim at the tastes of general masses of people. Culture alone is defined as behaviors and belief characteristics of a particular social, ethic, or age group. There are three major trends that involve American pop culture which is internet, television, and radio. Each one of these affect the decisions of a mass people whether it is buying something or making a decision on who to elect in the next presidential race.

Pop culture affects personal decision making process by influences that are made by these trends. One way is trying to keep up with the Jones's, example your next door neighbor gets a state of art stereo that was advertised on television. In its commercials it states that any body who is any body has one such as the recording artist Usher. That influence alone may make several people go by that particular television.

Radio is another way to influence society's pop culture even though you may not physical see what is advertised. Radio personalities give a colorful detail description to make you visualize the product or point of interest the radio personality is trying to get across. Internet has a lot of influence on society even more than radio or television. A huge amount of society either owns a computer or has access to one. The internet is the fast way to advertise or to blog on political debates . In a matter of seconds you can see a new television, political views, or what happen at the Emmy's

So many decisions and so little time makes the internet more convenient and easy to access. Society now is at a faster pace than back in older years, everyone is trying to keep up with schedules and appointments so what better way than to follow the three major trends of American pop culture. With the internet being in the lead you can open a lap top any where and get service to surf.....
