Introduction

Comfort Inn hotels are a well known chain with locations all over the world. The Comfort Inn Oceanfront in Jacksonville Beach, Florida is a sight to see on the Atlantic Ocean. Located directly on the beaches, the hotel is close to historic “Fort Caroline National Memorial, the Gator Bowl, University of North Florida, Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, Naval Station Mayport, Jacksonville University, Adventure Landing and the Naval Air Station Jacksonville” (“Jacksonville beach hotels”, 2011).

Guests are able to relax and wake up to the soothing sounds of ocean waves and beautiful sunrises. A short drive will bring you to the downtown area of Jacksonville which features the “Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center, Museum of Science and History, Jacksonville Landing, Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts and Jacksonville’s [EverBank field], home of the Jacksonville Jaguars” (“Jacksonville beach hotels”, 2011). Guests can enjoy a relaxing day “collecting sea shells, walking on the beach, breathing in the calm salt air, and visit the [Comfort Inn’s] on-site Oasis Café and poolside Tiki Bar. Enjoy the 120-foot outdoor pool open year round with four cascading waterfalls and a garden grotto hot spa for relaxation”.

The hotel serves a complimentary breakfast (continental style, with delicious waffles), and “three spacious indoor meeting rooms, two outdoor venues overlooking the ocean, and free wired and wireless high-speed Internet access”. There have been numerous beachside weddings held at this hotel along with church groups, family reunions, business meetings, competitive sports teams, and even the occasional rock band as guests.
