Wal-Mart serves customers and members more than two hundred million times per week at more than nine thousand retail units under sixty different banners in numerous countries. With last fiscal year’s sales of more than four hundred billion, Wal-Mart employs over two million associates world wide

Website owners are finding it easier to dominate the keyword search for their niche online store. Plenty of online stores, like Wal-Mart, only offer a few products outside the scope of their brick and mortar store’s regular inventory. Say you are looking for a fishing rod. If you go to the Wal-Mart online store, you can select from 6-8 possible choices. Being able to over whelm the internet through search engines is another key advantage that Wal-Mart uses to ensure that its products get viewed by a majority of the end users.

Using the internet to advertise gives Wal-Mart a key advantage over other smaller companies advertising on the internet. Let’s say that you go to your local Wal-Mart store and cannot find what you are looking for. With the use of the internet you can search for your product on Wal-Mart.com and have it either shipped to you or shipped for free to your local Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart’s advertising budget is extremely large compared to other smaller companies. Being able to spam the internet with advertisements is a key advantage in Wal-Mart’s E-Commerce.
