Reflective Journal

As the midterm period starts, I was able to satisfy what I learn from the preliminary period which I learn the real essence of computer ethics in an IT life. I was able to understand such guides to become IT professionals and I was thankful for that because all knowledge I have learned can be apply in the real world. I have learned many things in the preliminary period and even in the midterm.

In the midterm period, I have learned the logical arguments, critical thinking, encryption basics, privacy, cyberspace, cybercrimes and etc. I also learned that as an IT professional your priority must be the security of the system. You should have the ability to control your own work and may able to handle problems when there are intruders interrupting you work. As an IT student, I learn that one of the best way of having great security is encrypting codes that may be a puzzle for them not to easily catch your security and may give them a hard time to hack your work. At first I don't have any idea what should an IT student possess but now I can say that I have enough knowledge what will be the right way of being an IT till the time you become professional. Critical thinking must be one of the characteristics of an IT professional should possess because as a programmer you should response fast but accurately to the problems depends on the situation. You can be able to answer logical questions by making your own conclusion considering the rules and guidelines of an IT professional. You must be capable of having a broad mind for multiple and confusing problems in order for you not to give one of the possible answer but the best answer you can give. As I said earlier, security must be the top priority of an IT professional because even you done the best work of all but it's security is not good enough to protect itself it's not worth it.
