You will act as a consultant to perform problem analysis, propose solutions, and plan for the implementation for a global business organization of your choice.

This individual project is divided into two parts:

1. Project Proposal (5% of course work)

2. Project Recommendation Report (15% of course work)

Part I: Project Proposal (Due: Week 5 / Feb 22)

You will act as a consultant hired by a global business organization of your choice. You will perform problem analysis of the global business systems and propose a plan of actions to take on the opportunities and/or challenges. Your project proposal should include the following:

o Overview of company/industry background

o Problem analysis, opportunities and/or challenges

o Plan of actions to come up with a set of recommendations to take on the opportunities and/or challenges

The project proposal is a professionally written document with about 2~3 pages. It is due in Week 5 (Feb 22) before class. You need to submit both softcopy (to the Blackboard for time-stamping) and hardcopy (to the instructor).

Part II: Project Recommendation Report (Due: Week 10 / Apr 5)

You will continue your project in Part I upon acceptance of your proposal. You will propose a solution to take on the opportunities and/or challenges. You will also propose a plan for the implementation, including the evaluation of the project progress and outcomes. The project recommendation should include the following:

o Brief overview of the project

o Design of global business systems solutions

o Management of global business systems implementation

The project recommendation report is a set of professionally written PPT slides (max. 30 slides) for the top management of the global business organization. It is due in Week 10 (Apr 5) before class.
