Literature Review:
Road rage is an aggressive or angry behaviour by a driver of an automobile or other motor vehicle. Such behaviour might include rude gestures, verbal insults, deliberately driving in an unsafe or threatening manner, or making threats. Road rage can lead to altercations, assaults, and collisions which result in injuries and even deaths.
In general, "Road Raging" involves menace provoking activities including:
* Speeding and Aggressive Acceleration
* Tailgating
* Cutting others off.
* Weaving in and out of traffic
* Forming a "convoy" to block access to a traffic lane
* Honking the vehicle's horn or flashing lights excessively
* Rude gestures
* Verbal abuse
* Deliberately hitting another person, vehicle or object with one's own vehicle
* Hitting a person or vehicle with a weapon other than a vehicle
* Threatening to use a deadly weapon
* Revengeful feeling
"Road Rage" is considered as a menace because it can lead to physical injuries and in some cases it can lead to death also
Road rage is a main problem present not only in Delhi, but also in the rest of the world. Incidents of angry and aggressive driving are becoming very common in the roadways day by day. Every year, thousands of people are injured or killed in car wrecks caused by road rage. Despite this many people still are impatient and become angry on the road. With more and more drivers on the road, there are more moments of anger, frustration and discourteous behaviour among them. Nevertheless, road rage doesn’t always involve two drivers, sometimes it deals with a pedestrians and bicyclists.
