I use computer mediated communication for many different circumstances. One situation I use it is when I need to communicate with group member in order to achieve a common goal. Another use is when I need to talk to my bother about some of my problems. I also use CMC’s when I need to just express myself on different websites.

An example is when I have a group project. I can contact group members to figure out who is doing what and how they want things done. This helps get the project done more smoothly, but causes group members to get to know each other less. When I email group members, they can reply quickly from phones or computers. This makes it easier to contact people, rather than having to be together 24/7.

There are a lot of problems I have in my life. When I need to talk to someone, I can talk to my brother. I can use Skype to talk to him about anything, and it’s just like talking face to face. So when we can’t be together I can still stay in contact with him. This is very useful because when I get mad I might do something I regret. Such as, saying something to someone that I don’t mean.

On certain websites I can make statements about anything I want. Then have friends and family comment on the problems of the things that I say. They can do it anytime without a deadline, and don’t have to go back and forth. This helps me go do something, then comeback and respond to what they have to say. With this solution I don’t have to sit at a computer all day.

Computer mediated communication helps me in many ways just throughout the day. Whether, it’s talking to friends or family. This will lead to no lack of communication between two individuals, including me.
