Quadrant II Management Essay:

As assigned, during the last week, I tried to increase my management ability using the Quadrant II management techniques. It is very important and efficient way to manage considering selling tasks and managing relationships in the same time. And here is what I have done trying to improve my management abilities.

First, I got a couple of issues with receiving the monthly money transfer on time from my home country. And to avoid that for the future transfers, I gave my brother the task to keep tracking the banker agent’s activities until he makes sure that the money was transferred. The banker agent is a little bit lazy, and sometimes he leaves his work for further time. Once he received the money, doesn’t always transfer it in the same time, which causes me trouble paying my rent on time. The critical thing is that my brother is older than me, so I had to really watch the way I assigned him that task.

A second idea, in which I tried to use the Quadrant II management techniques, was earlier this week. I was trying to convince my roommate to keep the common shared places clean in our apartment. He is a kind of messy person and little bit lazy. So I was talking to him trying to keep a good relationship because that’s my roommate and we need, somehow, to get along with each other at least till the end of this year. So I assigned him the task to clean the just things just that he was responsible for (like his dishes). To convince him I said that he doesn’t want to find an awful mess in the kitchen whenever he wants to do something in it, and so why I always clean it after I have done something in it. And so I want it to be the same for me, it just needs some little efforts.

A third idea was to ask my neighbor to take away his trash bag from our floor’s hall. That was the most difficult task because I had to be very diplomatic and very nice person since I didn’t know what kind of person I was dealing with. But fortunately he was...
