Narrative Report: INTRAMUROS LIGHTS AND SOUND MUSEM

My venture last time in the Intramuros Lights and Sound museum was spectacular. It is like I’m in a time machine dating back in the past to know what is really happening there before anyone of us are born. I feel blessed having this kind of opportunity and I owe it all through the efforts of Dr. Tuliao who made the trip possible. First of all I would like to extend my gratitude to the management of museum for accommodating us and being nice to us.

I never imagine that learning history is going to be like this easy and entertaining. I saw all of my ancestors who lived in a simple land worshipping their gods. I was amazed how rich our culture is even before Spaniards came to our land. Different cultures, variety of languages and an array of islands that make our country perfectly unique from others. Major struggle now are fast approaching into our lives. The powerful Spaniards came claiming our own land to be their own land now. We can’t help but to say yes because we are no match from them. Many Filipinos have tried to be against this, but they failed. Lack of unity of us Filipinos is the main reason why Spaniards are easily touching our lives for more than 300 years.

But the long wait is over, a child who named Jose Rizal was making his way to fight the abusive Spaniards through his powerful mind gift from our God. Came from a high class family, Rizal was able to study in different schools to make him sharper, he actually studied across seas in order to learn more and to prepare for his battle to the Spaniards. After writing novels that criticizing friars and the Spanish government he make many Filipinos believe that someday the freedom they always dreaming are possible and now it is making its way to happen.

Many Filipinos including Rizal sacrifices their own lives in order for us to have this freedom we are enjoying. We are not ask to imitate them but to thank them that for what we have now is the product...
