"Managers should be paid more than regular employees." Do you agree with this statement? Justify your answer in scholarly detail!!

I do agree with the statement that “Managers should be paid more than regular employees”. Good managers are harder to find than a regular employee. A manager is the one that will be entrusted to manage the day to day operations of the bank and as long as that individual has the ability to execute their duties they should be paid more. Speaking of duties, a manager has to deal with far more upper level business issues than just the normal operational activities. Managers are involved in all aspects of the business which are divided amongst the individual contributors and still have to lead the business into its next goal or target. The manager is the one sort after to defend the company in the eyes of the public when any negative press occurs.

Managers also have to undertake the task of ensuring that the company’s overall goals are met and if they are not; they are the ones who have all the explanation to do with the directors and/or shareholders. Shareholders and/or directors are do not look to lower level management or other regular employees for answers pertaining to the performance of the company whether good or bad. The responsibility associated with the manager of a company is to be respected because of the pressures it comes along with. Managing persons of different culture, background and/or age groups is not an easy task especially when the manager requires them all to work together to achieve the goals of the company. All managers expect that conflicts will occur amongst employees which are indeed a hindrance from time spent on company tasks, however it is the duty of the manager to solve this conflict in a timely manner if it cannot be done by lower level management.

Discuss in scholarly detail why is it important for managers to be aware of cultural differences in their dealings with people?...
