Abstract
In this research paper I will discuss what Dr. DoRight, of Universal Human Care Hospital will do when he discovers that patients within the hospital have been dying as a result of a variety of illegal procedures by doctors and nurses along with negligent supervision and oversight on their part. I will analyze the rights of employees to health and safety in the work place. I will address the duty of loyalty, and conflicts of interest between internal and external stakeholders. I will also discuss the ethical duties to report illegal procedures, along with the deontology and utilitarianism principles and how these principles can be applied to The Universal Human Care Hospital situation.
1. Determine at least three (3) different internal and external stakeholders that Dr. DoRight might have to deal with on a daily basis at the hospital.
Dr. DoRight has to address the needs of the various internal and external stakeholders. A stakeholder is a person who has something to gain or lose through the outcomes of a planning process, program, or project. These people can be affected by the decisions of an organization. Internal stakeholders are people who are already committed to serving your organization as board members, staff, volunteers, and/or donors. These stakeholders participate in the coordination, funding, resourcing and publication of the strategy from a local health and well-being partnership. Examples of the stakeholders that Dr. DoRight may have to deal with on a daily basis would be the Director of Nursing, the hospital Research Scientists, and the Director of Communications.
