Audience

Gripping the handle of the door to Visual Distinction, an up and coming art gallery, I prepare myself to become submerged in a world of beauty that stimulates my senses and opens my mind. These thoughts being upper most in my mind as the door to the gallery opens I am surprised to be faced with a blank canvas of whiteness that screams to be filled. The purity and serenity of the uncluttered space provides me with the opportunity to visualize the world treasures that will soon take up residence on the walls and floors of the gallery. My overwhelming desire to compile an exhibit that has the ability to evoke deep emotional responses within the viewers is the primary motivation behind this project.

I am hoping to touch a group of individuals ranging between the ages of thirty and forty who are able to express their feelings in regard to the pieces displayed in the gallery. I would like to appeal to a multicultural group of individuals and embrace the different opinions of the art displayed. My audience will be free to express any and all opinions whether they are positive or negative all view points are valid. I do not want to an audience that has no opinions to express and finds the subject of art to be uninspiring. I want to be inspired and moved by the pictures my audience paints with their opinions on the subjects.
