Starbucks case study

As the article said Starbucks has opened way to many stores throughout the world and it’s going to hurt their business if they keep doing so. They can’t open two stores right next to each other like the customer said they did. They need to have one store in an area so that all customers shop at that one certain store, they are losing money because people go into one of them and the other one isn’t getting any customers which is costing them more money just to keep open than they make from sales. They need to have one store in multiple areas around the world and they need to have their prices low enough to compete with other coffee selling stores. The founder of Starbucks is a very detailed person and he needs every little thing to be perfect, that’s a huge way that they can raise their profits and grow even more. He’s a good manager and he notices the little things that will gain customers attention. By noticing these little details, he and other workers can use each other’s ideas and come up with new products and new looks for things on their menus that will attract old and new customers to their local Starbucks store.

I feel like Schultz should always be a big part of Starbucks and he is a great owner and CEO for the company. He has already made the company a huge success, when he walks into stores and meetings people applaud him for what he has done. That says a lot. He’s doing everything he can to make the company successful but as of right now, he has put way to many stores throughout the world and that’s one thing he should pay more attention to the details. He needs to know where to put his stores and he needs to know where he already has stores. He likes to make all decisions for the company but he needs to ask what his employees think about what things to sell.
