The Energy Debate

While there is an ongoing concern to change our over usage of oil, many people have voiced their opinion by suggesting other energy alternatives such as wind and solar power, which may better fit our energy needs. So where do we find these other sources, and will it be more expensive and unnecessary. The debate between McCain and Obama are quite similar in that they both favor the cap and trade system encouraging companies to reduce carbon emissions. While the car dealerships have come out with the hybrids in an effort to help, there is still more changes that need to take place. People need to reduce the amount of fossil fuels burned and start burning natural gases, which releases less carbon dioxide than oil, coal, or wood.

There continues to be a substantial argument between members of the scientific community as to whether or not the threat to global warming is real. I have to say that I have not paid much attention to what has been going on with the energy debate, however, from what I have learned making your own compost is actually helping our environment...
