Abstract
The article seeks to illustrate the effects of anxiety and depression in the workplace. It studies the causes of anxiety and depression which include sexual harassment, workplace aggression, workplace phobia, past experiences and job insecurity. Moreover it suggests possible prevention measures such as screening and educating employers about the effects on the organization. Going forward the author attempts to provide guidance on how the issue can be better managed and listed various methods of treatment available. These management guidelines include open communication, awareness and the promotion of a safe and healthy environment. Apart from managing the issue, various treatment methods such as exercise and nutrition, stress management program implementation, social feedback and the application of music, poetry and aromatherapy are introduced and discussed in depth.
