* This page design is establishing the identity while giving the clear overview of the contents.

* The important information provided, fit on one screen, as some users will not bother to scroll the home page.

* The page design has minimized the download time as most web users have slow connections.

* Graphics in the page are adding interest but are slow to load and can impede navigation.

* Reduced size of graphics by selecting the file type which will give the smallest image after compression, is another feature imbibed in the page.

* The page design is giving the images in IMG SRC tags of the HTML as the browser can then format the page before loading these graphics.

* In the page design the ALT tags are used in order to describe the graphics therefore many users using the same page at same time do not have to wait for graphics to be loaded.

2. Chapter 8 encourages the design of a help system early in the design of the human interface. How would you incorporate help into the interface as shown in Figure 8-1? (5 points)

* Designing and incorporating the help system is one of the most important interface designs catering numerous issues the designer may face. Before incorporating the help system in the page design first the programmer should place himself or thinks himself as user. Users are usually no aware what to do and do not understand that what is being requested, or does not know how the requested information needs to be formatted.
