1. Based on the business philosophies of Amar Bose, how do you think the Bose Corporation goes about analyzing its competition?

Bose Corporation established its own philosophy from scratch, meaning Bose ignores competitors and focus on doing research to provide what the customer really need. Actually, Bose uses the competitors as a way to understand the customer needs and wants. The company can spend all the time it wants in developing quality products, which keeps it ahead of its competitors.

2. Which of the three approaches to marketing strategy best describe Bose's approach?

The three marketing strategy approaches are Entrepreneurial, Formulated and Intrepreneurial. Entrepreneurial marketing is a term used to describe companies, which are started by individuals who live by their wits. They visualize an opportunity, construct flexible strategies. This approach applied to Bose, because Amar Bose started on his own and has a dream to produce these types of products.

3. Using Michael Porter and Treacy and Wieserma frameworks presented in the text, which basic competitive marketing strategies do Bose pursue?

According to the content of the case, it's obvious that Bose Follows the Product leadership strategy. Bose Company uses product innovation as its competitive strength. Its products are not similar to its competitors and do not provide the same highest quality.

4. What is Bose's competitive position in its industry? Do its marketing strategies match this position?

I don’t think that Bose could be considered as competitive, they only concentrate on satisfying their customer, and that is matching their marketing strategy.

5. In your opinion, is Bose a customer-centric company?

Yes it is a customer-centric company, because Bose focuses more on customer development in designing its strategy

In my opinion, if Amar Bose leaves the company the marketing strategy for this company will completely...
