Lincoln Electric
During the working adulthood, one has never been able to claim a working affiliation with such a company as “Lincoln Electric.” In 1895, John Lincoln began and ran a company that would incorporate Christian beliefs in the company code of ethics. The “Golden Rule” of treating others as one desires to have treatment led to a company with employees who had a desire to prosper and see the company achieve success. Company expectations were high but in the end both company officials and employees could attain a mutual level of satisfaction. The mission statement of Lincoln Electric was simple; it had a desire to be stress-free to work within certain confines, provide excessive service, greater class products, and provide the best monetary value and product in the open market (2011). The code of ethics for Lincoln Electric is strict, exacting, and applies to every employee from entry-level positions right up to the top CEO. The unsurpassable level of commitment and dedication to employees and employers stands alone, the higher the dedication and production numbers are, the more the individual earns in take home pay. The incentive plan works well in Lincoln Electric’s workplace because everyone is accountable.
